![]() Dr. Michael Bergeron, Senior Vice President of Development & Applications of GCT company, SIVOTEC Analytics, was a presenter at the Duke Orthopaedic Surgery Movement Symposium held on March 31, 2017 in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Timothy Sell, Director of the Michael W. Krzyzewski Human Performance Laboratory (K-Lab) at Duke University, hosted the symposium that featured compelling perspectives from different disciplines on the role of movement in health, injury, and joint disease. Specific topics included youth athlete development, osteoarthritis, and the evolution of locomotion. Dr. Bergeron highlighted that “It was an honor to be part of this inaugural event...as well to complement such an all-star line-up from unique disciplines. Like all complex human systems, fully appreciating the health and performance challenges and opportunities in human movement requires a holistic perspective that includes multiple domains of inter-related factors and influences.” Photo credit: Lynn Montoya, Duke University
